Nick White Award
The award came through the passing of Nick White, a long-time member of the Pacific Ski Club, who was a kind, caring, person; one who loved skiing, was most sociable throughout the year, and opened his home for PSC events. He died while skiing on the Little Inrun under the old Red Chair which takes one over and across to the Little Red Chair or Upper Franz. He lost control, tips dug into the snow, and was pole-vaulted into a tree, head-first, during the 1984/95 ski season. It is a memorial to him and his spirit, an inspiration to us all and presented since 1985 to the individual who most portrays Nick’s assets as a club member.
